My Pet lawyer
This year, forgo giving your favourite lawyer a cheesecake or an envelope with $20 in it and give them the perfect desk top toy! “My Pet Lawyer” will surely bring a smile to their face.
Their lives are so full of stress with refuting rebuttals, litigating legalities and arranging arraignments that they would welcome a new pet!
My Pet Lawyer desk top toy comes with 9 pre-recorded messages and you can use the remote control to make it laugh or growl whenever you feel it’s necessary. There is a customizable function where it can record your voice message or musical message too!
Nancy Gershwin, a Los Angeles entrepreneur, is the brainchild behind this new desk top toy. She claims it is perfect for anyone who loves, hates or is an attorney.
Sony Japan
Sony launched a contest campaign to promote their new Nav-U vehicle navigation system in Japan. The contest was inspired by something we all know and love: driving and singing in the car with friends.
The idea is to get contestants to do car singing auditions and post them on YouTube. The Sony Nav-U system can play music and video and even record them, so the contest is very in line with the product.
The best car singing audition videos will be uploaded on Sony’s website and the cream of the crop will be integrated in an official Sony TV spot next month.

Live checking card
It’s never been easier to overspend. Plastic has become my arch enemy in my quest to live conveniently and comfortable, yet there may be a solution on the horizon that will help me along my journey: the Live Checking Card. With this interesting concept, I would have necessary banking info at my fingertips.
Designed by Jin-young Yoon, Wook-sun Oh, Young-ho Lee and Jun-kyo Lee, the Live Checking Card is equipped with an E-Ink display that not only lets you check your payment history, it also presents your current balance every time you swipe.

Banned Peta AD
The latest PETA Thanksgiving ad ‘Grace’ can now be included in the long list of controversial ads banned by NBC. In rejecting the advertisement the TV network stated that, “this commercial does not meet NBC Universal standards,”—whatever that means.
The soundtrack of the PETA Thanksgiving ad begs for the animation of South Park characters, but there’s nothing violent or overtly sexual in the family-oriented television commercial. It contains a shocking, but mostly factual message. (It’s not a foregone conclusion that people actually enjoy stomping turkey heads.)

hipster viral music
Charlotte Gainsbourg - Heaven Can Wait from Charlotte Gainsbourg on Vimeo.
So, next year, when Charlotte Gainsbourg’s ‘Heaven Can Wait’ video wins the VMA awards, and Kayne West tries to say it wasn’t the best video of all time, I will personally lay the smack down. Because this video will blow your mind.
The song, featuring Beck (Mr. Two Turn Table and a Microphone), is great itself, but the video by director Keith Schofield truly steals the show. I am all about crazy ass shiz, and this baby takes the cake, check out the Charlotte Gainsbourg ‘Heaven Can Wait’ video.

Dock Ellis on LSD

The Eyewriter
The Eyewriter from Evan Roth on Vimeo.
The EyeWriter project is an ongoing collaborative research effort to empower people, who are suffering from ALS, with creative technologies.
It is a low-cost eye-tracking apparatus & custom software that allows graffiti writers and artists with paralysis resulting from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis to draw using only their eyes.
Members of Free Art and Technology (FAT), OpenFrameworks, the Graffiti Research Lab, and The Ebeling Group communities have teamed-up with a legendary LA graffiti writer, publisher and activist, named Tony Quan, aka TEMPTONE. Tony was diagnosed with ALS in 2003, a disease which has left him almost completely physically paralyzed… except for his eyes. This international team is working together to create a low-cost, open source eye-tracking system that will allow ALS patients to draw using just their eyes. The long-term goal is to create a professional/social network of software developers, hardware hackers, urban projection artists and ALS patients from around the world who are using local materials and open source research to creatively connect and make eye art.
Snow Cat SUV
Holy snow, this beast sure heats up winter! Unveiled at SEMA 2009 was the Subaru TRAX STI by Ken Block, a crazy SUV on snow tracks designed to tear through powder. Instead of being propped on wheels, the body of the Subaru TRAX STI rests on the same type of tracks as snowmobiles do.
“The car floats through powder like it’s swimming through whipped cream, yet it’s going too fast to seem possible,” Sub5zero says of the vehicle designed by Vermont SportsCar. “It carves S turns while never seeming to falter. And then on the packed stuff, it’s like a normal STI, power-sliding around snowy bends.”

Human fireflies
Now here’s a campaign based on a literally glowing idea. Human fireflies were unleashed by So-net on the streets of Japan. The participants were dressed in black, from capped head to toe, and had soccer ball sized orbs attached to their stomachs which, in the dark, were all that was visible. They ran around the streets approaching passersby, running through restaurants and dancing in a city square.

Nude Noodle Ad
When it comes to nude noodle ads, I have to say Nood Leon (Noodle On) is the most random and therefore the most effective. Put it this way, he is a lot funnier than he is sexy! Trust me, once you have seen one of Nood Leon’s nude noodle ads you won’t forget about it easily.
Essentially, Nood Leon is outraged with the fact that Nissin foods are using his name in vain and is campaigning (through the use of nude noodle ads) to be recognized as the face of the noodle brand!
Probably best if I hand it over to Nood Leon at this point:
I’m Nood Leon, the Official Unofficial Spokesman for Nissin Foods. In recent months Nissin, the maker of such fine products as Cup Noodles and Top Ramen, decided to incorporate my name into their new slogan, “Noodle On.” They did this without my knowledge or permission. However, rather than take legal action, I have done what any enterprising Internet entrepreneur would do, I appointed myself their Unofficial Spokesman and have launched a grassroots effort to gain the support of the people. Where the Dirty Hipsters are
Where the Dirty Hipsters Are’ is a hilarious parody of ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ and Los Angeles hipsters by Secret Sauce TV. Instead of Wild Things, little Max runs into the woods to find ironic, sarcastic hipsters.
With a flurry of references to Los Angeles’ hipster scene and the iconic children’s-book-turned-motion-picture, ‘Where the Dirty Hipsters Are’ is definitely a must-see parody. Check out the video above, and see the gallery for stills from the clip and other hilarious subculture mocking.
